TW: PTSD/CPTSD, mentions of panic attacks, pedophilia, sexual harassment/assault, attempted rape — I have this recurring dream that scares me awake in the middle of the night. This dream usually only happens when I am really stressed or depressed, though there are some exceptions. When they happen, I am always unable to fall back asleep, fear, panic attacks, and tears keep me awake, and am then usually haunted by it for the next day or so. I hate thinking about this dream, it is full of distorted traumatic memories that bring back the actual things, causing me to relive those experiences.
Prompt: What do you look forward to every week? TW: hints at depression – I don’t think I look forward to anything every week… I don’t look forward to time off work. I don’t look forward to work. I don’t look forward to meals.
Prompt: Write about a time you watched the sunrise. — I have seen the sunrise several times, but the most memorable time must be when Andrew, Aurora, Camilla, and I went on a trip about a year ago.
Prompt: Did you have a “lovey” as a child? Do you still have one? – I didn’t really know what this question meant by a “lovey” but Aurora told me that it was a stuffed animal, blanket, or toy that one was very emotionally attached to and viewed as a comfort, often not wanting to be apart from it.
Prompt: Were you ever bullied as a child? Tell a story of a time you were bullied, or a time you observed someone being bullied. TW: Bullying — I have been bullied, though not in the typically assumed way. I wasn’t bullied by other kids in my town. I was bullied by my siblings.
TW: Panic attack, slight depressive spiral – “Oh, god, what did I do? Why did I do it? Why did I say that to her? Why? I know how she feels about that kind of stuff. At least, I have an idea,” Lux says frantically, pacing back and forth in their room, Camilla sitting on the edge of their bed worried as they start to spiral.
TW: Mentions of mental health and self-harm, polyamorous relationship
I do have a tattoo. I got it with Aurora, Andrew and Camilla. It was Aurora’s idea. We were walking through a seaport town when she saw a stall where this guy was giving tattoos. Her eyes lit up and she started tugging on my sleeve, turning to the three of us and pleading.
TW: hints at mental illness (anxiety/depression)
Everything has changed. Changed so very much since I started working as a portal guard at the castle.
TW: mentions and light descriptions of depression and hints at abuse
I try not to have “lazy days,’’ as the question put it, if I can help it. I don’t like to not be doing something. It allows my brain to think about things it shouldn’t, about things I don’t want to think about.
