SOBRIETY

By Erick Wilund

SOBRIETY

I got my glasses fixed this morning

The easiest wound to bandage after another fractured night

Can I ask you, have I had enough? Is it time to step away?

I can’t ask that of myself, though I think I know answer

How much of my skin and soul and sanity are to be sacrificed, before too late is too late?

Am I blind or just a fool?

Look, I’m already back for more
