Spring 2024 Contest
We at The River are excited to announce an upcoming Flash Fiction contest! Genre fiction is near and dear to us, and so we want to take this opportunity to celebrate short-form Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Horror. From now until April 5th we will be accepting submissions of prose fiction, no more than five hundred words, with an element of the fantastic, scientific, or horrific. The winner of the contest will receive a fifty dollar gift card for ThriftBooks, as well as publication in the April issue of The River.
All submissions for the contest will be considered for publication in the April issue independent of the contest, but please specify within the submission form if the piece is intended for the contest.
