It’s Time For A Contest!

The River’s bi-annual contest is back! This time as the Word Challenge contest!

This semester, we’re asking you to produce a piece of writing that includes three specific words: Empathic, Excogitate, and Expenditure. You must use these three words in your writing, be it a poem, a fiction piece, or even a nonfiction piece! Whatever type of writing you engage in, we welcome you to submit to our Word Challenge Contest!

We ask that fiction and nonfiction submissions abide by our regular 1,000 word limit.

Submissions for the contest will close on Nov. 30th, and we will choose a winner by Dec. 5th. The winner will receive a $50 gift card to Twice Sold Tales. Please submit your works to TheRiverEditors@gmail.com with Word Challenge Contest in the subject line.
