Is Your Fridge Listening to Us?

by Finn Robinson

Sorry for even mentioning this —

but do you hear that zigzagging

scraping sound in the corner?

That old-milk-flavored crypt.

Do you hear it

listening? Churning

coils like lightning bugs:

Instinctual and squishing. Spurring icy air through its

lack-of-lungs — decroded rust and metal zizzing:

The moans of dying fireflies.

Please, don’t open it:

I’ll shiver

as they flutter

down my throat.

Finn Robinson is a poetry and filmmaking fanatic. A student at UMF, Finn tries to find truth by writing about parts of life that fall between the cracks. He loves puzzles, bad movies, and feels a strange calling to the sea.
